The puppies are here!!

Butter is such a good mama! She's barely left the puppies in 24 hours and if she gets up for something, as soon as she hears a puppy cry, she books it back to them, even if she's not finished.

Mama has consumed about a gallon of mother's pudding* and is eating all the things she normally eats already.

It is day 1, and my job with the puppies is to let
Butter mother them, and to keep children and cats away.

And to cook her copious amounts of mother's pudding*.
Oh, you noticed I keep typing mother's pudding* with an asterisk?
Mother's pudding is made with goats milk, because a lot of dogs are not able to tolerate cow's milk. I don't have goats milk on hand. But I had read that people who are lactose intolerant can still tolerate yogurt. And we make yogurt here by the gallon regularly. So instead of goat's milk and cornstarch, were using yogurt. So maybe she's having mother's yogurt. At any rate, she loves it. And I've been using egg yolks from our chickens, but I need to find out why it's just yolks because my favorite way to use eggs is to not separate them.
Alright, here's the record keeping for today:

And finally, here's my todo list for today:
Make more mother's yogurt
Find out why recipe calls for yolks only
