Day 5 - New digs, 4/17

I moved the puppies into a hard-sided kiddie pool, so I could do a better job of keeping it clean. It took Butter a while to be okay with this.

I felt foolish because I had left the original whelping pen in my room for weeks for her to get used to it. And this I just set up for her in a day. To me it looks basically the same, but it sure smells different!

At first Butter would go in, smell around, then come back out and sit in my lap. When I sat inside the pool myself, that seemed to clear up the confusion.

Even though the move stressed Butter out a little, the puppies seemed perfectly fine, so we went ahead with ENS as planned.

A couple puppies seemed a little too distressed in a couple of positions, so we discontinued those and will try them again tomorrow. ENS is meant to introduce only teeny weeny amounts of stress to them.

He's a sample of what they do all day. There's nothing wrong with the sound. It was just very quiet.
