On Sunday we picked up two dogs: Christina and Angel.

Angel is our own puppy from Butter's Christmas litter. She is now almost 6 months old, and she has grown so much!

Her new owners had some unexpected complications in their lives, and we have taken her back. After we get her caught back up on vaccines, she will be available again.

And this is Christina. She is 6 years old, and is pregnant. We are fostering her until September. She will be available then, as well.

We sent home 5 puppies, and are keeping one, which means we have only one puppy left.

Coco and Pluto have their 2nd vet visit scheduled for Thursday.

First to go home was Jingle, now called Paisley. Butter was jealous of the attention she was getting, and I appreciate your willingness to accommodate her!

Next was Hope, whose name is Jemma.

Then Angel went to stay with her dad at Adventure Doodles! https://www.adventuredoodles.com/available-puppies

And then Comet became Charlie! And his new mama was so sweet and gave the kids some chocolates, which were devoured promptly! Thank you so much!

And finally, Peace went to her new home. And she is now called Bailey!

It was a big day today. They pups had their first vet visit, vaccines, deworming, and flea/tick/heartworm meds to give them at home.

ree

Here are the puppies' weights:

Pluto - 10.5 lbs

Comet/Charlie - 7.31 lbs

Hope/Gracie - 6.75 lbs

Peace - 7.88 lbs

Jingle/Paisley - 7.06 lbs

Angel 7.38 lbs

Alexis/Coco - 7.38 lbs.

ree

They were also dewormed again with Pyrantel.

The vet sent home their next deworming medication, Strongid, for 10 days from now. (So if you are taking your puppy home next weekend, I will send you home with this dose.)

ree

Tomorrow, I'll give them NexGard for flea and ticks in the morning, then Heartgard in the evening for heartworm. By giving them at different times, we'll know what they're reacting to if they have any reactions.

So the follow-up care for these puppies is as

follows:

2-20-24 dewormer

Sometime between 3-2 and 3-9 they are due for their booster vaccines.

So this is a little less cute of a post than most, but important housekeeping, nonetheless!
